Buccaneers Have Final Tune-Up for MWC's at Red & White Open

Madison, WI -- The Beloit College Indoor Track & Field team had their final tune-up before next weekend's Midwest Conference meet, competing at the Red & White Open hosted by nationally-ranked University of Wisconsin on Friday night.

The Women's team finished second to the Badgers while the Men were sixth.

Felicia Carlson won the 200m and was second in the 60m to lead the way.  Arielle Kimmel also got first-place points in the Weight Throw and a fourth in the Shot Put.

Peter Siess had the top Men's performance with a strong fourth in the 400m, just short of the Beloit record.

Also earning points were Sian Cunningham, third in the Pole Vault; Ellie Waddle, fourth in the 400m; Mateo Lauersdorf, fifth in the Shot Put; Emily Sneed, fifth in the Mile; Matt Kreiser, fifth in the 60m Hurdles; Crit Stanley, sixth in the Pole Vault; Lukeson Versulien, sixth in the Long Jump; Brian Alcorn, sixth in the 600m; and Emma Koenig, sixth in the 800m.

The Women's 4x400m Relay team of CJ Cochran, Carlson, Rasheda Hughes and Waddle finished third.

The Bucs head for Cornell College next weekend for the MWC Indoors.  Action begins at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and continues at 10:30 am on Saturday.
