Buccaneer Women's Soccer

Naperville, IL -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team did everything they could to hold off North Central College on Friday night.  But a 16-minute second-half burst by the Cardinals was enough for a 3-1 Buccaneer loss.

The teams played scoreless Soccer for the first 50 minutes.  Goalkeeper Alex Spirov made seven saves in the opening half to keep it that way.  But the Cardinals broke the tie at 50:10 and added goals at 54:49 and 66:57 to make it 3-0.

Felicia Carlson got Beloit on the scoreboard with 12 seconds left in regulation, scoring unassisted.  Spirov finished with 11 saves on the night.

The Buccaneers are off until Wednesday when they open Midwest Conference play against Carroll University at the Strong Complex Soccer Field.  Action begins at 4:30 p.m.
