Beloit, WI -- The post-season accolades keep coming for James Lazarcik.
Lazarcik, a 6’5 junior forward for the Beloit College Men’s Basketball team from La Crescent, Minnesota, has been named Third Team All-Midwest Region by d3hoops, a website that specializes in coverage of NCAA Division III Athletics. The team is voted on by select Sports Information Directors from the region.
The All-Region honors add to the list of honors for Lazarcik this post-season. He has also been Second Team Academic All-American, First Team academic All-District, and First Team All-Midwest Conference.
Lazarcik led the team in 13 different categories, including scoring (17.5), rebounding (11.3), field goal percentage (67.7%), free throw percentage (78.5%) and blocked shots (1.3). He leads the conference in rebounding, field goal percentage and double-doubles and ranks fourth in scoring. Nationally he tops NCAA Division III in field goal percentage, is eighth in rebounding and 11th in double-doubles.
The Bucs finished the 2012-13 season with a 12-11 overall record, including 10-8 in Midwest Conference play. Their 12 wins were the most since the 2001-02 season while their ten Conference victories were the most since the 1992-93 season.
