Women Finish 6th, Men 7th at MWC Championships; Men's 400 Free Relay Sets Beloit Record

2013 MWC Swimming & Diving Championships

Grinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team closed out their 2012-13 season at the Midwest Conference Championships on Sunday, with the Women finishing sixth and the Men seventh.

The Buccaneers brought home their sixth record-setting performance of the three-day meet when the Men's 400 Free Relay of Will McAneny, Austin Smith, Arthur Staub and Greg Schalla posted a time of 3:18.91.  The effort broke the oldest record on the Beloit Men's books of 3:19.63, set in 1984.  The team finished fifth in the final race of the Championships.

Also Sunday, Shaunte Moss finished sixth in the 200 Breast while Dana Olesch was seventh in the 200 Fly.  The Women's 400 Free Relay of Moss, Haleigh Thomas, Cherrelle Phon and Olesch was sixth.
