Ripon, WI – Megan Salm, a junior pitcher/third baseman from Lake Forest, Illinois, has been named to the 2014 All-Midwest Conference North Division Softball team in a vote of league coaches. The team was released today by the Conference Office.
Salm was the second-leading on the team with a .338 batting average (23-68) while hitting two home runs and driving in nine. She also had five doubles to finish with an OPS (on base plus slugging percentage) of .916. She hit .385 in MWC play (8-23) with a home run and three RBIs. On the mound she threw a team-high 70 innings while compiling a 1-10 record with a 7.60 ERA, striking out 28.
Salm is the 62nd All-MWC for the Softball team since the 1984 season and the 11th during head coach Kim Zarling’s seven-season tenure.
The Buccaneers were 5-27 overall in 2014 with an 0-8 record in MWC play.
