Mequon, WI -- The Beloit Men's Lacrosse team absorbed an 18-5 loss at Concordia University on Wednesday, never climbing back in after CUW scored the first four goals of the game.
The Falcons led 3-0 after one and added a fourth goal a minute-plus into the second period before Matt Kelly, assisted by Aidan Whinnery, got Beloit on the board. After another Concordia score Zach Carner made it 5-2 at the 11:12 mark. After three straight CUW goals Kelly scored his second of the game with 3:18 left before the half to make it 8-3.
The Falcons put things away in the third period with five unanswered goals while shutting out the Buccaneers to enter the fourth up 13-3. After Concordia stretched their run to seven straight and a 15-3 advantage Austin Hyatt broke the streak at 6:58 followed two minutes later by Jacob Pritcher's score to make it 15-5. CUW then closed out the scoring with three straight goals for the final.
