Galesburg, IL -- The Beloit College Men's Basketball team got contributions from a number of players on Saturday afternoon on the way to a 65-44 win over Knox College.
Neither team could take control in a first half that featured six ties and ended with a 25-23 Beloit lead.
The second half continued to be close until the Bucs stretched a 36-34 lead with 12:42 remaining into 51-37 spread with 4:57 left. The Buccaneers continued to steadily expand their advantage over the final five minutes, with the final score being the largest lead of the contest.
James Lazarcik finished with 19 points and nine rebounds while Steve McAfee had 12 points and 12 rebounds, his third double-double in the last four games. Tyler Butke added 10 points while Chris Bremner had nine. Rudy Bentley handed out eight assists.
Beloit looks to close the season well with the final two games at home, beginning on Wednesday night against Carroll University. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
