Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Basketball team stretched their winning streak to three games on Wednesday night in Flood Arena with a 79-51 win over Lawrence University.
Lauren McNanna's jumper three-minutes into the game put Beloit up 6-4, a lead they would only add to. A 19-6 six-minute run increased the lead to 34-16 with 6:25 left in the half. Beloit held a 46-25 advantage at the break, with Lana Wieseman scoring 14 of those points in the first 20 minutes.
LU got back within 16 points five minutes in to the second half but a 17-4 Beloit run over the next seven minutes made it a 65-36 game with just over eight minutes remaining. The largest lead came with 2:07 left at 79-48.
Wieseman led four players in double figures with 16 points. McNanna added 14 while both Jenna Larsen and Laura Panicali had 10 points. Wieseman finished with a game-high eight rebounds. Larsen and Kelsey Horvath both had seven, Horvath's being a career-high.
The Bucs finished at 50% shooting from the field, including 53.3% in the first half.
Beloit takes its momentum on the road Saturday to Knox College for a 1:00 p.m. MWC game.
