Buccaneers Score 6 Wins in First Home Meet Since November

John KamadaBeloit, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team had waited over two months for their second home meet of the season.  The team results weren't what they were looking for but they did get six victories in the dual meet with Loras College in Kresge Natatorium on Friday night.

The Loras Women won 113-82 while the Loras Men took home a 126-65 victory.

Nora Holte scored a pair of wins, taking the 50 Free and 100 Breast.  Also earning individual firsts were John Kamada in the 200 IM and Dana Olesch in the 100 Fly.  The Women's 200 Free Relay of Gina Widmer, Hannah Devereaux, Alicia Hoffman and Laurel Marshall also won, as did the Men's 200 Free Relay team of Will McAneny, Arthur Staub, Kamada and Austin Smith.

Earning second-place finishes were Olesch in the 200 IM, 100 Fly and 100 Back; McAneny in the 50 and 100 Free; Holte in the 100 Free; Devereaux in the 500 Free; Widmer in the 100 Breast; and Charlie Hawks in the 100 Breast.

Beloit heads to Carthage College in Kenosha next Saturday for the Wisconsin Private Schools Meet.  Action begins at 12:00 noon.
