Buccaneers Can't Overcome Early 3-Goal Deficit

Buccaneer Men's SoccerGrinnell, IA -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team couldn't battle out of an early 3-0 hole on Saturday in dropping a 4-1 decision to host-Grinnell College.

After the Pioneers scored the first goal of the game six minutes in they added a pair of scores at 23:01 and 29:04 to push their lead to 3-0.  Phillip Amsden got Beloit on the board at 37:37 but that was all they could get.  GC closed out the scoring with under ten minutes left in the match.

BJ Kiser made six saves in net for Beloit, who were out-shot 18-7.

The Buccaneers look to get on the winning track with a pair of Midwest Conference road games next weekend, playing at St. Norbert College on Saturday and at Ripon College on Sunday.  Both matches begin at 3:30 p.m.
