Madison, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team was kept at bay at Edgewood College on Friday night, falling 2-0.
The game was scoreless for nearly 70 minutes until the Eagles put the first goal in at 68:02. The Buccaneers pushed hard for the equalizer and had several chances in the final 20 minutes but couldn't get the right bounce. EC iced the game with just over a minute left with a second score.
The game was closely contested throughout, with Edgewood holding a 16-11 edge in shots and an 8-4 advantage on corner kicks. BJ Kiser made six saves in net.
Beloit has a few days off before getting back on the pitch on Wednesday when they host Marian University at 4:30 p.m. at the Strong Complex Soccer Field. that game is the first of a three-game week, with road contests at Maranatha Baptist on Thursday and UW-Whitewater on Sunday.
