Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team held their own during the first 45 minutes against Edgewood College on Friday at the Strong Complex Soccer Field.  But a 15-minute burst in the second half was enough to send the Bucs to a 3-0 loss.

After a scoreless opening half the Eagles finally got on the scoreboard just over a minute into the second half.  That started a run that netted three goals in under 15 minutes for EC that staked them to a 3-0 lead.

The Buccaneers kept pushing but managed just one shot for the game to Edgewood's 26.  The Eagles also held an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks.  Alex Spirov finished with 10 saves in net.

Beloit looks to turn things around after a week off when they play under the lights at North Central College next Friday in Naperville, Illinois.  Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
