Buccaneers Run Past Rockford

Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team didn't need any late-game goals to defeat Rockford University on Tuesday at the Strong Complex Field, coasting to a 6-0 win.

Felicia Carlson scored a hat trick while Caitlin Paterson added two goals in the win.

Paterson got things going three minutes in off assists from Emily Ebner and Camilla Jackson.  Carlson followed with three straight goals, bridging halftime.  Jackson assisted on the first at 12:00 to make it 2-0; Marcail Distante made the pass on the second one at 16:43; and Megan McCabe had the hat trick goal assist at 67:48.

Ariana Espinoza got in the scoring column at 68:46 to make it 5-0 off Carlson's assist before Paterson closed things out at 71:33 on a penalty kick.

Alex Spirov had a light night in goal, getting the shutout without facing a shot on net.  The Buccaneers out-shot RU 16-2 for the game.

After three games in five days the Bucs get a week off.  Their next action comes on September 10 at Lakeland College.  Game time is 4:30 p.m.
