Bloomington, IL -- The Beloit College Baseball team couldn't get anything going on Thursday at 29th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University and fell twice 9-1 and 10-0.
In game one the Titans scored two runs in the second and added five in the fourth. Beloit got on the board in the fifth inning when Andrew Edwards hit his second double of the game and scored on a groundout by Sean Little. But that would the only run the Bucs would get as IWU added two runs in the sixth to close out the scoring.
In game two Illinois Wesleyan scored one in both the first and seconds innings, with no hits, and then put up three runs in the third and four in the fifth. They added a run in the sixth for the final scoring of the day.
Jake Parrott had two of the Buccaneers three hits in the game.
Beloit looks to bounce back on Saturday in the long-awaited home opener when they host the University of Chicago at The Ballpark at Strong Stadium. First pitch for the doubleheader is at 1:00 p.m.
