Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Lacrosse team grabbed their second win of the season on Saturday afternoon at Strong Stadium, shutting down an Olivet College rally for an 11-10 win.

After a 2-all first quarter the Buccaneers scored three straight goals in the last five minutes of the second quarter to take a 6-4 lead into the break.  Ryan Hazuka and Thomas Porkka each had two goals in the opening half.

The Comets came back to open the third period with three of the first four goals of the half to tie it up at 7.  But Porkka scored his third goal of the game midway through the quarter to put Beloit up for good at 8-7.  Hazuka added his third score less than two minutes later to give the Bucs a 9-7 advantage entering the fourth.

After Olivet scored early in the final quarter to pull back within a goal Jacob Pritscher and Xavier Ward tallied back-to-back to give the Buccaneers an 11-8 lead.  OC started their comeback with a goal at 6:56 and pulled to within one again with two minutes left.  But the Beloit defense held fast, including stopping two threats in the final 20 seconds to record the victory.

Pritscher also finished with three goals in the game while Ward had two assists.  Trevor Kenahan made ten saves in goal.

The Bucs look to keep their momentum going when they host Albion College at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday night at the Stadium.
