Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Basketball team saw a late run by St. Norbert College lead to a 66-56 loss in a key Midwest Conference contest for both squads on Tuesday night in Flood Arena.

The Bucs broke away from a 5-5 tie, one of six ties in the opening half, with a 5-0 run to jump on top seven minutes into the contest.  SNC answered with a 9-0 run over the next four minutes before Beloit responded with an 11-5 run to go back on top by two.  The score was tied at 23-all with 3:24 left before the Green Knights closed the half on a 6-0 run to head to the lockerroom up 29-23.

The deficit was seven at 36-29 with 13:24 left in the second half before a six-minute 13-6 run by the Bucs tied it at 42 at the 7:28 mark.  St. Norbert hit a pair of free throws with 5:57 remaining to take the lead for good, stretching it out to 50-43 with just under five minutes left.  Again Beloit made a charge and pulled within 54-52 with 3:18 left only to see an 8-2 run secure the win for SNC.  Steve McAfee's tipin with 34 seconds left accounted for the final.

The Bucs hit seven three-pointers on the night, with Chris Bremner and McAfee each hitting two.  They were 7-14 from beyond the arc for the game.

James Lazarcik kept racking up double-doubles with 15 points and 12 rebounds while McAfee added 14 and Tyler Butke ten.  Bremner added eight points.

The Buccaneers look to get back on track Saturday when they travel to Monmouth, Illinois, to take on Monmouth College.  Tipoff is at 3:00 p.m.
