Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team got second-place finishes from both the Men's and Women's teams and a record-setting performance added on in the Beloit Triangular on Saturday in Kresge Natatorium.
The Women's meet had Carroll University with 69, Beloit 68.5 and UW-River Falls with 67.5. For the Men UWRF had 76, the Bucs 65 and Carroll 59.
Shaunte Moss set a new 100 Breast record with a winning time of 1:11.07, breaking the previous mark of Xiaoyue Ma from 2005. The previous record was 1:11.09. Moss also won the 200 IM and swam the second leg on the winning 400 Medley Relay.
Will McAneny had a hand in three wins, taking the 50 and 100 Free and leading off the winning 400 Free Relay.
Other first-place finishers for Beloit were Nora Holte in the 100 Free; Dana Olesch in the 100 Fly; John Kamada in the 200 IM; the previously mentioned Women's 400 Medley Relay of Emma Canny, Moss, Olesch and Holte; and the previously mentioned Men's 400 Free Relay of McAneny, Kamada, Austin Smith and Greg Schalla.
Earning second-place finishes were Smith in the 50 Free; Holte in the 200 Free; Schalla in the 200 and 500 Free; and Kamada in the 100 Back.
The Buccaneers now have an extended break for finals and the Holidays before getting back in action on Saturday, January 12, when they host Illinois College.
