Beloit, WI – Erika Moen, a Track & Field athlete from Janesville, Wisconsin (Parker) and Jackson Wilkins, a Men’s Soccer player from Helena, Montana (Capital) were recognized for earning the Donald “Red” Janssen Award at halftime of last Saturday’s Homecoming Football Game at Strong Stadium.
The Donald “Red” Janssen Award is presented annually to an outstanding male and fe4male athlete who has completed their junior year of competition.
Moen set the Beloit College record in the discus in her final meet last Spring for the Buccaneer Track & Field team. That was after she earned runner-up honors in the discus at the Midwest Conference Outdoor Championships, her third straight All-Conference performance in the event.
Wilkins is a three-time All-MWC performer, a two-time All-Region selection and has been given the Buccaneer Men’s Soccer Golden Boot Award three straight seasons. He is currently second in both career goals and career points.
