Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team couldn't get one of their 14 shots in the back of the net and the result was a 1-0 non-conference loss to Edgewood College in the home opener on Saturday at the Strong Complex Soccer Field.
After a scoreless opening 45 minutes the Eagles finally broke through four minutes into the second half. Despite a number of shots by the Bucs from there on the lead stood up.
Beloit won the shots 14-12 and also had eight corner kicks to EC's five. BJ Kiser had five saves in net.
The Buccaneers have a few days to regroup before playing at Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday night in a 7:00 p.m. match in Milwaukee.
