Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team battled for nearly a half but in the end Midwest Conference pre-season favorite Carroll University took over on the way to a 5-0 win.
The Bucs consistently turned away Pioneer threats through the first 35-plus minutes. CU finally got one past Beloit keeper Kourtney Kingslien at the 37:53 mark. They then added a second goal four minutes later to take a 2-0 lead at the break.
Carroll made it 3-0 five minutes into the second half and then added a fourth and fifth goal at 70:00 and 75:53 to close the scoring.
The Pioneers won the shots battle 31-5. Kingslien finished with 14 saves.
The Buccaneers step away from MWC play on Sunday when they travel to Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Action begins at 1:00 p.m.
