Buccaneers Shut Down Aurora

Aurora, IL -- The Beloit College Volleyball team played their first true dual match of the season on Tuesday night in Aurora, Illinois, and came away with a 3-0 win over Aurora University.

The Buccaneers swept the match 25-23, 25-13, 25-16.

Laura Toth and Tess Jacquez each had eight kills to lead the attack, Toth hitting at a .300 clip.  Caitlin O'Leary had 26 set assists.  Mary Parker recorded a team-leading 15 digs.

Toth also finished with eight blocks while Emma Kozera had six, two solo, and Jacquez also had six.

Beloit now heads to the always-tough Illinois Wesleyan Tournament in Bloomington, Illinois, on Friday and Saturday.  They play Benedictine University and the host school on Friday and then take on Concordia University WI and Cornell College on Saturday.
