Ripon, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team garnered three honorees on the All-Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Team, released Monday afternoon by the Conference office.
Molly Dickson, a sophomore forward from Egg Harbor, Wisconsin (Gibraltor) was named First Team while senior forward Anna Blankschien (Milwaukee, Wisconsin/Rufus King) and senior goalkeeper Katie Schurr (Canal Winchester, Ohio/Bloom Carroll) both earned Second Team honors.
Dickson, who was an Honorable Mention pick last season, led the team with 11 goals and 24 points. She was eighth in the Conference in points per game, sixth in goals scored and tied for third in game-winning goals with three.
Blankschien was second on the team with ten goals and 23 points. She finished ninth in the league in points per game and eighth in goals scored.
Schurr earned All-MWC honors for the second straight season after being Second Team in 2008. She finished third in the Conference in saves with 118, fourth in shutouts with three and fourth in goals against average at 1.89. She had 13 shutouts in her career, tying for the second most in Beloit history.
The Buccaneers finished the 2009 season 8-9-0, including 4-5-0 in MWC play.
