Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Soccer team scored twice in just over a one-minute span midway through the first half and made the goals stand up in a 2-0 non-conference win over Cornell College at the Strong Complex Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon.
Clare Loxterkamp sent in what looked like a crossing shot that went into the right corner of the goal to give the Buccaneers the advantage at 29:04. Rachel Kotkin got the assist.
Ninety seconds later Anna Blankschien headed in a cross from Erin Chambers to put Beloit up 2-0, more than enough goals for the win.
Katie Schurr had six saves in net to record her third shutout of the season.
The Bucs get back in to Midwest Conference play on Wednesday when they play at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Match time is at 5:00 p.m.
