Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Women's Basketball team had things going pretty well at the half. But Lake Forest College came storming out of the break with a big run on the way to a 71-61 win in Flood Arena on Friday night.

LFC scored the first seven points of the contest before the Bucs started chipping away, finally tying at 17-all at the 7:39 mark of the opening half.

The Foresters regained control and went up by five with a quick 9-4 run but, again, Beloit battled back and closed the half with a 6-2, two-minute run to lead 31-28 at the break.

Lake Forest turned the game around in the first four-plus minutes of the second, going on a 12-0 run out of the lockerroom to lead 42-33 at the 15:53 mark. They maintained the lead for the next ten minutes until a 9-3 one-minute explosion by the Buccaneers brought it back within three at 60-57 with 4:37 remaining.

But LFC again regained control and closed out the final four minutes with an 11-4 run to win by ten.

Beloit had four players in double figures, led by Amanda Moore's 15 points. Sarah Stariha added 13, Diana Sopkowicz 12 and Faith Jones 10. Sopkowicz also grabbed a game-high seven rebounds while Mary Parker tied a career-high with nine assists.

The Buccaneers look to turn things around on Saturday afternoon when they host Illinois College in a 2:00 p.m. tip in the Flood.
