Ripon, WI -- The Beloit College Volleyball team placed a league-high four players on the 2009 All-Midwest Conference Volleyball Team, released this afternoon by the Conference office.
Junior middle blocker Laura Toth, from Battle Creek, Michigan, earned First Team honors for the first time while Mary Parker, a junior outside hitter from Kansasville, Wisconsin, was First Team for the second straight season.
Tess Jacquez, a junior outside hitter from Pescadero, California, was named to the Second Team this season after earning First Team honors in 2008 while Caitlin O'Leary, a junior setter from Walworth, Wisconsin, was named Second Team for the second straight season.
Toth led the Conference in hitting percentage at .311 and finished seventh in kills with 2.81 per set.
Parker was third in the league with 5.34 digs per set and fifth in kills at 2.94.
Jacquez was fourth in service aces with 0.41 per set and eighth in kills at 2.63.
O'Leary led the Conference with 9.30 set assists per set.
The Buccaneers finished one of the most successful seasons in Beloit history last weekend as the MWC Tournament runner-up. They were 24-6 overall, 8-1 in Conference play.
