Lake Forest, IL -- The Beloit College Men's Basketball team was disappointed with their performance a week ago in a loss to Lake Forest College in Flood Arena. Saturday night they turned it around with a 62-45 victory on the Foresters home court.
Leading buzzer to buzzer, the Buccaneers sprinted away from a 6-4 lead three minutes into the game with an 11-2, four-minute run to go up by 11.
LFC pulled back to within three at 26-23 with 4:42 left in the half but again the Bucs responded with an 8-1 run over the next three minutes to push their lead back to ten. Beloit led 34-26 at the break.
The Bucs held an 8-10 point lead for most of the second half. The Foresters pulled to within nine at 49-40 with 6:16 remaining before Beloit closed the game with a 13-5 run to win comfortably.
David Bremner had 17 points and eight rebounds to lead the Buccaneers. Patrick Kenny added 12 and Travis Towns ten.
Beloit has a little time off before returning to Flood Arena next Saturday for Hall of Honor Day, hosting the Green Knights of St. Norbert College. Tipoff is at 2:00 p.m.
