The Beloit College Baseball team had their final tune-up before they head into Midwest Conference play this weekend, sweeping Wisconsin Lutheran College 3-0 and 5-0 on Wednesday.

The ten Midwest Conference Softball teams are joining hands with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in a national campaign entitled “Beat Cancer with a Bat.”

Travis Towns, a junior from Janesville, Wisconsin (Edgerton), competing for the Beloit College Track & Field team, has been named the Midwest Conference Field Event Performer of the Week for the week ending April 5. The Conference Office announced the honor on Tuesday afternoon.

The Beloit College Track & Field team had their first Northern meet of the Outdoor season as the Men finished eighth and the Women tenth at the University of Chicago Ted Haydon Invite on Saturday.

The Beloit College Softball team jumped into Midwest Conference play with both feet on Saturday against Lawrence University at the Strong Complex Softball Field, sweeping the doubleheader 3-0 and 13-5.

The Beloit College Softball team had a split with North Central College within their reach at the Strong Complex Softball Field on Thursday before a late rally pulled it away. The Cardinals headed home with 9-0 and 5-2 wins.

The Beloit College Baseball team got an up-close look at the 2010 NCAA Division III National Champions. And they didn't much enjoy the view.
The Buccaneers fell twice at Illinois Wesleyan on Thursday, 12-2 and 12-4.

The Beloit College Baseball team waited ten days but finally got a chance to shake their slump, sweeping Knox College 5-1 and 13-8 at The Ballpark at Strong Stadium on Tuesday.

Beloit College today announced plans to return its track and field program to national prominence (and home competition), add two NCAA Division III lacrosse teams to its varsity sports offerings, and replace its main stadium turf with an artificial surface. Beloit, which will field both men’s and women’s lacrosse squads, will be the first in the Midwest Conference to host the sport at the varsity level, and just the second program in the 14-school Associated Colleges of the Midwest, joining Colorado College.

Forty-two Buccaneer student-athletes have earned mention on the 2010-11 Winter Academic All-Midwest Conference team, as released by the Conference Office on Thursday.
