    For Jennifer Randall, the nerves were there all day, and likely yesterday too. 

    But the Beloit College Women's Basketball team settled the nerves of their first-year head coach in a big way by topping Concordia University 63-55 in Flood Arena on Tuesday night in the season opener for both squads.

    The Beloit College Swimming & Diving team competed in a dual meet at Ripon College on Saturday afternoon, with the Women topping the Red Hawks 139-22 while the Men dropped an 89-64 decision.

    The Beloit College Cross Country team finished their 2011 season at the NCAA Division Midwest Regional on Saturday, run at Saukie Golf Course.  The Women finished 25th and the Men 38th.

    It is nearly impossible to find anyone whose life has not been touched by cancer, whether it is through a friend, family member, or even a teammate. The swimmers at Beloit College have found one more way to fight back: the sixth annual Ted Mullin “Leave It in the Pool” Hour of Power Relay for Sarcoma Research, sponsored by the Carleton College swimming and diving teams, set for Tuesday, November 8, in Kresge Natatorium, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
