Beloit College Men's Soccer forwards Jackson Wilkins and Marc Robinson, both seniors, were honored with spots on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-North Region Team, the organization announced today.
Wilkins, from Helena, Montana (Capital), was named to the squad for the third time while Robinson, from Kingston, Jamaica (Jamaica College) is a first-time honoree. The two are part of 13 from the Midwest Conference named to the team. The Bucs joined Lake Forest and Carroll with two players each.
Wilkins was a four-time First Team All-MWC selection. He was second on the Bucs in scoring with eight goals and seven assists for 23 points. He tied for the Conference lead in assists and tied for second in game-winning goals. He was fifth in both goals and points. For his career he finished as Beloit’s all-time leader in points, tied for first in goals and third in assists.
Robinson, who earned his second straight All-MWC First Team honor this season, led the team in scoring with 14 goals and seven assists for 35 points. The goals and points are the third-most in a season in Buccaneer history. He was second in the Conference in both goals and points and tied for second in game-winners. For his career he had the fourth-most goals and tied for fifth in points.
The Buccaneers were 11-5-1 on the season, their most wins since 2006, and advanced to the MWC Tournament for the seventh time in the last ten seasons. It also marked the 11th time in the last 20 seasons they’ve had double-figure wins in a season.
