Beloit, WI -- It was a big day in numerous ways for the Beloit College Men's Soccer team on Saturday at the Strong Complex Soccer Field, not the least of which was a 2-1 win over Grinnell College.

Head coach Tim Schmiechen earned his 200th career win and at the same time became the Midwest Conference's winningest Men's Soccer coach for conference wins with his 126th.  He became the Conference's all-time wins leader in overall victories earlier this season.  In both cases he passed former Grinnell College head coach John Pfitsch.

Jackson Wilkins also hit a milestone with his game-winning goal, becoming Beloit's all-time points leader with 96, passing Michael Findley, who had 95 points from 2003-06.

After a scoreless first half, Marc Robinson put the Bucs up seven minutes into the second half off an assist from Ryan Munger.  The Pioneers evened things at 1-all 14 minutes later, setting the stage for Wilkins.  With less than four minutes left Wilkins hit the back of the net on an assist from Robinson to not only secure the record but to give the Buccaneers an important MWC win.

BJ Kiser made five saves in net for the win.

The Buccaneers have a week off before hosting Monmouth College in their final home match of the season next Saturday for Senior Day.  Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m.
