Ripon, WI – The Beloit College Men’s Soccer team landed three spots on the First Team of the 2011 All-Midwest Conference Soccer Team and had four honorees overall.  The squad was released today by the Conference Office following a vote of league coaches.

Jackson Wilkins, a junior forward from Helena, Montana (Capital), Marc Robinson, a junior midfielder from Kingston, Jamaica (Jamaica College), and Kellen Sullivan, a senior defender from Helena, Montana (Capital) earned First Team honors while Tom Slusher, a senior midfielder from Mount Prospect, Illinois (Prospect) was named to the Second Team.

For Wilkins it’s his third straight First Team selection.  He led the Bucs in scoring for the third straight season with nine goals and four assists for 22 points.  After three seasons he ranks sixth in Beloit Men’s Soccer history with 31 goals while his 75 career points put him just outside the top five.

Robinson, who earned his first All-MWC honor, was second on the team in scoring with eight goals and two assists for 18 points.  He also tied for the team lead with three game-winning goals.

Sullivan, also a first-time All-MWC recipient, had a career high three assists while anchoring the defensive unit.

Slusher, also earning All-MWC honors for the first time, was third on the team in scoring with seven goals and three assists for 17 points.  He shared the team lead in game-winning goals with Robinson.

The Buccaneers earned a spot in the MWC Tournament in 2011 and advanced to the Championship match before falling.  Their appearance in the title match marked the second straight time they've gotten to the Tourney and then played for the Championship.  They fell to Grinnell College in a shootout back in 2009.
