Ripon, WI -- Tom Slusher, a senior midfielder from Mt. Prospect, Illinois (Prospect) has earned his second Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor. The selection was announced by the Conference Office on Monday afternoon and covers the week ending October 30.
Slusher secured Beloit’s spot in the MWC Tournament with two goals in less than five minutes in the Bucs’ 2-1 come-from-behind win at Monmouth College. The first goal, at 84:55, tied the game and came 1:38 after Monmouth had broken the scoreless tie. His second goal came with 55 seconds left. For the season he has seven goals and 15 points with three game-winning scores.
The Buccaneers, the #3 seed, will play #2-seed Lawrence University in the second MWC Tournament semifinal on Friday at Carroll University in Waukesha. Action begins at approximately 1:30 p.m.
