Monmouth, IL -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team secured a spot in next week's Midwest Conference Tournament next weekend with a 2-1 win at Monmouth College on Saturday.
After a scoreless first 83 minutes, the Fighting Scots broke through with the game's first score at the 83:17 mark. But Tom Slusher scored less than a minute later to even it up off an assist from Ryan Munger.
The Bucs then officially punched their Tournament ticket with under a minute left in regulation when Slusher scored his second goal in five minutes, again from Munger, for the win.
BJ Kiser made eight saves in net for Beloit.
The Buccaneers have less than a week to get ready for the Tournament, which begins next Friday at MWC Champion Carroll University against an as-yet unknown opponent.
