Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team fell to Augustana College 1-0 on Wednesday at the Strong Complex Soccer Field in a tight, physical match.
Augie got the only goal of the match at the 37:46 of the opening half and made it stand up.
The Buccaneers had two key chances that both just missed. Tom Slusher sent a hard shot on goal from the right side as the first half ended but the save was made. Then with just over 18 minutes remaining, Marc Robinson hit a laser from in front of the goal that hit the crossbar and bounced away.
BJ Kiser made nine saves in net. The Vikings won the shots battle 21-6.
The Bucs look to snap their two-game loss streak on Sunday when they travel to stateline-foe Rockford College for a 4:30 p.m. match.
