Beloit, WI -- In one of the more unlucky games the Beloit College Men's Soccer team has played in Tim Schmeichen's 20-plus seasons as head coach, Concordia University Wisconsin topped the Bucs 3-0 at the Strong Complex Soccer Field on a bright and sunny Wednesday afternoon.
Of the 15 shots the Buccaneers got off, six of them clanged off the goal standards surrounding the net. The Concordia goalkeeper made only four saves himself. It was one of those kind of days.
The Falcons got their first goal at the 23:41 mark on a direct kick. They made it 2-0 in the opening half on a curling corner kick at 33:03.
CUW added a third goal in nine minutes into the second half, at 54:41, to close out the scoring.
BJ Kiser made six saves in net for Beloit.
The Bucs look to get back on the winning track on Saturday afternoon when they play Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
