Galesburg, IL -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team has been looking for a game like this for some time. The Bucs lit up the scoreboard on Saturday in a 7-2 win at Knox College.
Ryan Munger, Tom Slusher and Tony Racine each scored twice in the contest.
Munger got things going with his first goal 34 seconds into the match, assisted by Jackson Wilkins. Racine made it 2-0 ten minutes later with his first score.
After Knox cut the lead in half at 14:05, Munger scored for the second time, assisted by Junki Endoh, to re-establish the two-goal advantage. Slusher then made it 4-1 at the break with his first goal, again assisted by Endoh, at 22:22.
Knox struck first eight minutes out of halftime before Slusher got goal number two for the game, assisted by Wilkins, at 54:45. Racine then made it three Buccaneers with two goals when he scored on a penalty kick at 61:30.
Josh Litofsky closed the scoring with an unassisted goal, the first score of his career, in the closing minutes.
Beloit looks to stay hot on Sunday when they play at Lake Forest College. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.
