Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team dropped a 1-0 heart-breaker on Saturday afternoon at the Strong Complex Soccer Field to Ripon College in overtime after 91-plus minutes of scoreless soccer.
The two teams slugged it out through each of the 45-minute regulation halves, though the Buccaneers held a decisive 18-8 shots advantage and also had ten corner kicks to RC's five.
But the Redhawks broke through with the only goal of the game 1:22 into the first overtime to end it.
Michael Kreiser had two saves in net for Beloit.
The Bucs look to shake off the tough loss on Thursday when they host Lakeland College at 4:30 p.m. at the Strong Field.
