Jacksonville, IL -- The Beloit College Men's Soccer team took it down to the last game of the regular season but came away with a 2-0 win at Illinois College to earn the fourth and final spot in next weekend's Midwest Conference Tournament at Carroll University in Waukesha.

The Bucs will play the #1 seed Pioneers in the semifinals on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

The Tournament appearance is the first for the Buccaneers since 2007 and their sixth in the last eight years. For head coach Tim Schmiechen, coaching in his 20th season, it is his 12th appearance.

Sunday, the teams played scoreless soccer until Jackson Wilkins broke through on a corner kick at the 40:50 mark.

Brian Maunze added some insurance eight minutes into the second half for the Buccaneers.

Nathan Lipps made six saves in net to preserve the shutout.
