Beloit defeated DePauw on March 16, 2013 to begin a new tradition of Men’s Lacrosse on Karris Field at the historic Strong Stadium.
In the summer of 2011, Strong Stadium enjoyed a major renovation with the installation of its new FieldTurf surface, rubber track, and state-of-the-art digital video scoreboard. The new Karris Track and Field stands as one of the best outdoor athletic facilities in the Midwest Conference. Home to Beloit Lacrosse and Football, the Stadium also features a huge men’s lacrosse locker room, home and visitors’ athletic training rooms, a conference and film room, coaches’ locker rooms, visitors’ locker rooms, fan lobby, concessions, and apparel sales during games. The Stadium seats 3,000 fans.
The 2011 renovations were part of a $3.7 million project to enhance Strong Stadium and add men’s and women’s lacrosse programs. The donations were provided by a small group of alumni, friends, and parents of Beloit students.
