Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Lacrosse made a fourth-quarter run to close the gap but couldn't overcome a first-half deficit in a 13-6 loss to Augustana College at Strong Stadium on Wednesday night.
After Matt Kelly scored the first goal of the game at 9:33 of the opening period the Vikings strung together nine straight goals into the third period to put things out of reach. Jacob Pritcher broke the string at the 7:17 mark of the third before AC scored twice more.
The Bucs put together two straight goals by Austin Hyatt and Zach Carner into the fourth and then traded goals in the final 10 minutes. Carner and Kelly finished up the scoring for Beloit.
The Buccaneers look to snap a two-game slide when they host Calvin College on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Stadium.
