Chicago, IL -- Bob Dignazio, head coach of Men's Lacrosse at Beloit College, has been added to the coaching staff for New Wave Lax for the Summer of 2012.
Dignazio joins Jay Ferrel of Benedictine University, Sean Farrell of Carthage College and Kyle Hart of Augustana College on the coaching staff.
"I'm excited to join the New Waqve program," said Dignazio. "It's clear that New Wave is dedicated to providing high-level training, guidance and competition to its players."
He was named the first head coach of Men's Lacrosse at Beloit early in the Summer of 2011 following a national search. A native of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, Dignazio took the Buccaneer position after a season as the Defensive and Recruiting Coordinator at Kenyon College. He also served one season as the Defensive Coordinator at Randolph-Macon College after graduating from Kenyon in 2008.
At Kenyon, he was a two-time All-North Atlantic Conference defenseman and was a member of two teams who made earned spots in the NCAA Division III Tournament. He started every game for three seasons and helped lead the team to a 33-10 record during that span. He earned Kenyon’s Bill Heiser Award at the end of his senior season for hard work, dedication and sportsmanship.
In addition to his current position and his previous stops at Kenyon and Randolph-Macon, Dignazio has gained experience from working numerous camps, including the Peak 200, New England Top 150, Top 205, Tier 1, Texas 99, Adrenaline Showcase, Midwest 99, the Ohio State Buckeye Team Camp, and Revolution Lacrosse Camp.
Buccaneer Lacrosse will debut in the Spring of 2013.
