Beloit, WI -- For the second straight game, the Beloit College Men's Basketball team went to overtime to get a win, this time topping a surging St. Norbert College 69-65 in Flood Arena for their third straight victory.

The Bucs scored 14 of the game's first 19 points to lead 14-5 at the 13:29 mark of the opening half.  But SNC responded with an 11-4 run over the next five minutes to pull back within two with 8:07 left.  Beloit got their lead back to eight in the final three minutes before settling for a 35-30 advantage at the break.

SNC came out of the lockerroom and scored nine unanswered points to take a 39-35 lead just over three minutes into the second half.  The Buccaneers responded with four straight points to tie it up and neither team could get more than a four-point lead the rest of regulation.

SNC hit one of two free throws with 3:04 left to tie the game at 61 and despite several opportunities neither team scored the rest of the way.  The Green Knights had two shots in the final 30 seconds but neither one fell, forcing an extra five minutes.

Neither team could get the upper hand in the first four-plus minutes of OT until James Lazarcik converted a three-point play with 32 seconds remaining to put Beloit up for good.  David Bremner added a free throw and Michael Horton two charity tosses to seal the victory.

Bremner led the Buccaneers with 25 points while Horton and Tyler Butke each added ten, Butke also grabbing nine rebounds.  Lazarcik scored nine points and took down a career-high 18 rebounds.

Beloit, having finished up a five-game homestand, now hit the road for two games, starting Saturday at Lawrence University.  Tipoff is at 4:00 p.m.
