De Pere, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Basketball team couldn't rebound from a decisive second half run by St. Norbert College in a 73-63 loss on Wednesday night.

SNC used a 6-0 run midway through the first half to build a 25-16 lead before the Buccaneers responded with a 23-3 run to tie the game at 28-all.  The game was tied at 32 at the break.

Beloit took their first lead since the early going on a three-pointer by Chris Bremner two minutes into the second half but the Green Knights followed that up with the key 25-9 run over the next nine minutes to move up 59-48 with 7:36 left.  The Bucs pulled back to within seven at 63-56 on a Michael Horton three with 4:20 left and were still within eight with 2:15 remaining.  But St. Norbert hit six of eight free throws in the final two minutes to hold on for the win.

Tyler Butke hit for a career-high 17 points to lead the Buccaneers.  James Lazarcik added 14 and David Bremner 11.  Horton had a double-double with ten points and ten assists.

Beloit is now off until Tuesday when they play their first home game of the season, hosting Milwaukee School of Engineering at 7:00 p.m. in Flood Arena.
