Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Basketball team certainly enjoys playing in Flood Arena, completing a weekend sweep of Midwest Conference games on Saturday with a 75-67 win over Knox College.
Beloit has won four straight at home and five of the seven games they've played there.
The first half was tight throughout, with neither squad leading by more than five points. The Bucs led 33-31 at the break.
The Buccaneers busted out of halftime with an 11-2 run to push their lead to 44-33 five-plus minutes in. KC got it back down to three six minutes later with an extended 19-11 run only to watch Beloit regain control. The lead was only three again with 2:00 remaining but the Bucs closed the game on a 10-5 run for the win.
Michael Horton led the way with a career-high 24 points, less than 24 hours after going scoreless against Grinnell. He added six rebounds. Patrick Kenny had 12 points and David Bremner 11.
the Buccaneers look to keep the good home feeling on Wednesday night when they host Ripon College in a 7:30 MWC game at Flood Arena.
