Beloit, WI -- The Beloit College Men's Basketball team is starting to like that winning feeling, grabbing their second straight "W," and third in their last four, with a 75-62 win over Lakeland College in Flood Arena on Saturday afternoon.

Beloit set the tone early, scoring the first seven points of the game and building an 11-point advantage at 13-2 just under seven minutes in.  Lakeland battled back and closed to within three with 7:21 remaining at 22-19 but a 13-4 Buccaneer run got the lead back up to 12 at 35-23 3:25 before the break.  The Bucs led 37-26 at halftime.

Beloit kept up the pressure in the second half, with the Muskies getting no closer than six (53-47, 8:50), as they kept the advantage in double-figures for most of the 20 minutes.  The biggest lead was 72-57 with under a minute left.

Tyler Butke led the way with a career-high 14 points, ten in the opening half.  James Lazarcik had his first career double-double with a career-high 13 points and another career-high 11 rebounds.  David Bremner, Travis Towns and Chris Bremner each added ten points, with Towns grabbing nine rebounds.

Michael Horton dished out five assists while both Towns and Patrick Kenny handed out four.

The Buccaneers relax for the Holidays before heading south to Texas.  They play UW-Platteville in Austin, Texas, on December 30, before taking on host Concordia University of Texas on New Year's Eve.  Both games tip off at 3:00 p.m.
