Jeremy Warren-HeadshotJake Marshall-HeadshotBeloit, WI – New Beloit College Head Football Coach Seth Duerr’s staff for his first season with the Buccaneers is coming into focus.

In addition to holdover Michael Wilson, Duerr recently announced the following assistant coaching additions:  Jeremy Warren will serve as the Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach; Jake Marshall will be the Wide Receivers Coach and Recruiting Coordinator; Kyle Hansgen will be the Defensive Line Coach; and Matt Lee will be the Offensive Line Coach.

Several other positions will be announced at a later date.

Warren is a 1996 graduate of Beloit and a 2007 inductee into the Beloit College Athletic Hall of Honor.  He returns to the Buccaneer sidelines after 16 seasons of coaching at North Central College (Offensive Coordinator/Quarterback Coach/Recruiting Coordinator), Rock Valley College (Head Coach) and, most recently, Rockford East High School (Head Coach).  Warren was a record-setting quarterback for the Buccaneers from 1993-95, earning All-Midwest Conference honors twice and finishing his career in the top five of every passing category in the Beloit Record Book.

Marshall comes to Beloit from Coe College, where he served as the Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers Coach as well as the Recruiting and Video Coordinator for three seasons.  A 2010 graduate of Ripon College, he was a four-year letterwinner for the Red Hawks, earning Offensive MVP honors in 2010 as the team’s quarterback.  He still shares the record for rushing touchdowns in a season with 19 in 2010.

Hansgen, a 2010 Beloit graduate, returns to the coaching staff after a year off.  He was a graduate assistant coach during the 2010 season and then handled Special Teams and assisted with the Defensive Line in 2012.  A four-year letterwinner for the Buccaneers, he earned All-MWC honors as a senior.  During his career he recorded 15-plus sacks and recovered six fumbles in addition to making nearly 150 tackles.

Lee is also back from the 2013 staff, which marked his first season at Beloit.  A 2004 graduate of UW-Platteville, he is currently the head Track & Field coach at Milton High School, where he also previously served as the offensive coordinator.  He also coached at De Pere High School in northeast Wisconsin and has nine total seasons of coaching experience, which has included playoff appearances in seven of those years.

The Buccaneers open their 2014 season on Saturday, September 6, at the University of Chicago.  The first home game of the Duerr era is against Grinnell College on September 13.
