Beloit College Football will be a part of NCAA Football's "Take a Kid to the Game" program on Saturday afternoon when the Bucs host Lake Forest College at 1:00 p.m. at Strong Stadium.
In addition to NCAA Football action, a tent will be set up for the kids to indulge in fun activities prior to the game. Beloit College student-athletes will be in the tent to meet attendees. Kids will have the chance to sign up for the half-time punt competition, with five names drawn at the end of the 1st quarter. Each participant will get two chances to punt the ball as far as they can. The five participants will receive a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut and, in addition, the winner will get a gift-package from the Beloit College Bookstore.
Beloit College is one of more than 200 schools across the nation hosting a game in this campaign focused on allowing youth the opportunity to attend college football games.
“Beloit College is excited about this event where kids from the community will have a chance to be a part of our game-day experience and support NCAA Football’s Take A Kid to the Game" program,” Peggy Carl, athletic director at Beloit College said. “This game-day experience is an opportunity for children to spend quality time with a parent or role model and learn about sportsmanship that can be demonstrated on the playing field.”
