Buccaneers Shut Down by SNC

De Pere, WI -- The Beloit College Football team suffered a big 44-0 loss at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, on Saturday afternoon in their final road game of the 2009 season.

The Green Knights were playing their last game at Minahan Stadium in De Pere after 71 years and put up a big ending performance.

SNC scored once in the opening quarter and added 13 more points in the second to lead 20-0 at the half. They broke the game open with a 17-point third quarter before closing out the scoring with a fourth quarter TD.

Cody Large led the offense with 54 yards rushing on 15 carries while Derek Carrier had two catches for 38 yards.

On defense, Tony Baratti had 11 tackles and Matt Fogerty ten while Chris Juels had an interception.

The Buccaneers close out their 2009 season next Saturday when they host Grinnell College for a 12:00 noon kickoff at Strong Stadium. It will be Senior Day as the Bucs say goodbye to ten seniors in their final game.
