Former Beloit College Football player Derek Carrier has signed a free agent contract with the National Football League's Oakland Raiders.

Beloit College Head Football Coach Chris Brann has announced the naming of Alex Cook as Offensive Coordinator and Michael Wilson as Defensive Coordinator for the upcoming 2012 season.

Derek Carrier, a senior wide receiver for the Beloit College Football team from Edgerton, Wisconsin, has been named the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Private College Player of the Year.  The organization announced the honor this week.

Led by Derek Carrier’s First Team selection, the Beloit College Football team place five players on the 2011 All-MWC team, released today by the Conference Office.  The squad is selected on a vote of league coaches.

The Beloit College Football team wrapped up their 2011 season on Saturday afternoon with a 48-27 loss at Illinois College.
