
Ripon, WI – The Beloit College Baseball team, coming off their first Midwest Conference North Division Championship, has been picked to finish third in the Division in a close vote by league coaches. The Conference office released the poll today.
St. Norbert College garnered three first-place votes to take the top spot followed by Defending Champion Ripon College with the other two first-place votes. Close behind were the Bucs followed by Carroll University in fourth and Lawrence University fifth.
In the South Division Grinnell College had two first-place votes to take the top spot over Illinois College, who earned one first-place vote. Knox College was third with the final first-place vote with Monmouth College standing fourth.
The Buccaneers, who went 27-12 overall, 12-4 in the MWC North, last season, open their 2012 season on Sunday afternoon, March 4, against Rochester Institute of Technology of New York in Auburndale, Florida.
